Are you asking yourself questions that won’t go away?

On paper you’re doing well. In reality, you might be feeling:

  • I know I’m good at my job, but I’m still undermined by self doubt
  • I’m not comfortable in the spotlight and it’s holding me back
  • How can I lead in a way that feels true to me?
  • How do I tackle the difficult conversations I’ve been avoiding?
  • I don’t want to plateau – but I don’t have the headspace to plan my next step
  • Is it just me? Everyone else seems to be on track.

You’re not failing – you’re at an inflection point.

What you’re really looking for – and what you will gain from Athena…

✔︎ Deeper self‑belief

A steadier inner ground so you consistently back yourself when the stakes are high – not just adding another “confidence trick” to your toolkit.

✔︎ A way of leading that feels like you

Healthy power – power with, not power over – so you can influence others whilst staying true to yourself

✔︎ Clarity about what’s next

Protected space to think, clarify what you want, and shape a next step that aligns with your purpose.

✔︎ Ease with being seen

Greater comfort with visibility, authority and speaking up.

✔︎ Managing overload

Effective ways to set boundaries, prioritise what really matters and stay centred even when everything feels urgent.

✔︎ Skills for hard conversations

Practical ways to handle conflict, tricky relationships and managing upwards.

✔︎ Women who “get” you

A network of women at different stages who are ambitious, insightful and honest  – and who will help you to pinpoint your unique gifts and talents

How we see Leadership

Our world needs better leadership at every level: global, national, organisational and in our communities and families.  The era of the Strong Man needs to come to an end.

Instead we need leaders – both men and women – who can combine healthy power with warmth – to build a world where everyone can thrive and contribute their gifts.

Women are vital to this transition to healthy leadership. We have so much to offer, yet we don’t have generations of women role models behind us – so right now women benefit from focussed encouragement – spaces where we can step out of the “day to day” and get clear on what really matters.

Because every day we see brilliant, talented women who hold themselves back from acting on their ideas, vision and ambition by believing they are not ready or not good enough.

Whether it’s Imposter Syndrome, perfectionism, procrastination, people pleasing, lack of healthy role models or overwhelm – these are the usual suspects that keep you playing small and feeling dissatisfied.

Yes, leadership is demanding – it’s also exciting, rewarding and energising.

That’s why we created the Athena Leadership Intensive – drawing inspiration from the Greek goddess of wisdom and courage.

We’ve been running it for over a decade.  Join us now to get clear on what your unique contribution is and ignite your fire to make it happen.

I came away with a toolkit of leadership approaches but more importantly for me, a massive boost in self-confidence and belief and strategies for centring myself and being present. I can’t recommend this programme highly enough.

In just two days, Athena equipped me with practical techniques to remain calm under pressure and gave me the confidence to lead authentically with compassion… Since participating, I’ve stepped up in meetings, expressed myself with greater clarity, and embraced opportunities to lead with newfound confidence.
Gail Weeks
People Relations Manager, Nokia
Shortly after I attended this programme I was asked to do a live interview on LBC at an hour’s notice about the Assisted Dying Bill – with no time to prepare and no media training. I felt VERY anxious and wobbly before it started, but by putting into practice the techniques I’d learnt, I sailed through the interview. I couldn’t have done this without Athena.

Why women?

Our vision is a world where EVERYONE can thrive and share their gifts.

Our consistent experience is that women benefit enormously from working in a women-only group.

The Athena Leadership Intensive provides a dedicated space to see more clearly the external and internal obstacles that hold women back – and to develop clear strategies to move beyond these.

Our participants go back into their worlds and make things better for everyone.

About the groups

We keep the groups intimate (maximum 12) in order to create a high-support, high-stretch environment. Athena is a protected space where you can “drop the mask” to do the inner and outer work of leadership. We work with both your light and your shadow, your purpose and your blocks – to help you grow into the kind of authentic leader you want to be.

Step out of your workplace for two days and spend time with women from different backgrounds and sectors who share your challenges and aspirations.

We attract extraordinary women.  Our alumnae include professionals, managers, businesswomen, academics, health professionals, executives, CEOs, activists, entrepreneurs, consultants, creatives, engineers, coaches, regulators, sportswomen, arts leaders and more…

You’ll step out of your silo and meet women you’d never normally meet – building a richer professional network.

We purposely include a mix of senior and up-and-coming leaders at different ages and career stages to allow for multi-generational learning.

In-House

We also offer taster sessions to organisations, and can customise this programme to be run in-house.
