We believe women should have real power in the world

Our workplaces and our institutions need better leadership – leaders who combine:

Strength with care

Strategy with compassion

Drive with wisdom.

The untapped potential of women is society’s greatest resource.

Given conditions where they can flourish, women make great leaders.

“Structural barriers persist for women – they receive less career support and are given fewer opportunities to rise… When women and men receive similar levels of support from…more senior colleagues, they’re equally enthusiastic about getting promoted to the next level.” (Women in the Workplace 2025. McKinsey)

What holds women back?

Today’s women leaders don’t lack skill, intelligence and drive. Yet they often carry invisible tensions:

  • “Am I too much?”
  • “Am I good enough?”
  • “Can I be powerful without becoming someone I don’t like?”
  • “Do I have to play the game to change it?”

Imposter feelings, discomfort with power, fear of being judged or disliked, exhaustion from navigating politics while staying authentic.

These aren’t personal flaws – they’re the by-product of outdated ideas of what it means to be a leader: be invulnerable, fly solo, always win.

There is another way

The good news is that women all over the world are rejecting the old stereotypes and choosing to lead with compassion, humanity and creativity.

We’ve worked with hundreds of women to recharge their sense of purpose, contribution, optimism and vision. It’s a joyful experience for everyone.

Why invest in women – why invest in yourself? (the business case)

Unlocking the leadership potential of women is a no-brainer – it’s good for individual women, it’s good for organisations and its good for the world.

Investing in female talent is key to shifting the needle on culture, retention, ethical behaviour, productivity and innovation.

“Research… showed companies with more than 30% of female executives are more likely to outperform organisations with a lower gender balance” (Women in Leadership: Taking Stock of Recent Developments. 2024. Institute of Directors, UK).

How we work

Our work is rooted in depth psychotherapy, combined with decades of experience working in and with organisations. We understand the pressures and realities of the workplace and know it’s also vital to stay connected to our inspiration – our “Why”.

Our approach includes powerful and unusual embodiment techniques to strengthen your gravitas. We combine this with intuition, experimentation, reflection, challenge and brave discussion to help you create the changes you want to bring about.

You will see profound change quickly. We recognise what it takes to survive in the current workplace and encourage you to expand beyond just surviving to both thriving and “Changing the Rules of the Game” – to create the kind of workplaces where everyone can flourish.

What you will gain

Purpose

Get clear on your unique contribution to the world – build organisations that are purpose led and values driven

Power

Presence

Combine strength and warmth for authentic presence – so people can listen, hear and act on your words

Resilience

Increase your capacity to bounce forwards from setbacks and flow around obstacles – build a culture where everyone can thrive

Confidence

Know your worth to build grounded confidence deep within – stand tall and instil confidence in others

Understanding

Time well invested. Liz & Hetty convened a great group and created a learning environment that enabled us to explore some truly pressing challenges for women in leadership. Both insightful and practical, the course has given me greater motivation and focus for the next steps in my journey.

I thought I was going on the workshop to ‘get’ purpose, power and presence – but it turns out I have them already – I just need to learn how to access them. It’s inspired me to take a leap and try something new that I’ve been putting off for too long.

About Us

We came together through our love of working with women leaders and our frustration at seeing how women continue to undersell themselves and lack confidence – despite their competence.

We created Purpose Power Presence to help women leaders recognise their brilliance, strengthen their resolve and fine tune their skills.

We’ve each got decades of experience working in and with organisations, corporate and small businesses, charities and social movements – so we know what it’s like at the sharp end of leadership.

Alongside this, we’ve each trained to work at depth – in psychotherapy, neuropsychology, and embodiment techniques. We’re committed to bringing this depth to our work with women – and it’s this combination of real world experience and deep self-awareness that makes our programmes robust and satisfying, and their outcomes powerful and long-lasting.

We bring the insights and analysis of depth psychology and embodiment to the practical reality of leadership – making them accessible, applicable and impactful.
